What To Expect

Lakeview Family Chiropractors front desk

On your first visit to our office, you will be asked to fill out new patient paperwork. The paperwork allows us to gather as much information about your current conditions as well as your health history. When the paperwork is complete, you will be escorted to an adjusting room where your doctor’s assistant will review your health concerns with you. From there, the doctor will begin an exam that will include a variety of neurological, orthopedic and chiropractic tests. Based on what is found during your health history and your exam, the doctor will determine if spinal x-rays will be needed to further evaluate your case. This will conclude the first visit. This allows the doctor to spend extra time looking over your health information, exam findings and spinal x-rays to develop a treatment plan specifically for you and your needs. You will then return the next day to go through your Report of Tests. The Report of Tests is the results from your examination and x-rays. We ask that you bring someone with you to the second visit who you feel comfortable discussing your health with, because there is a lot of important health information that will be covered.

On your second visit to our office, you will be escorted back to an adjusting room by your doctor’s assistant and asked if anything has changed. Then your doctor will go through your Report of Tests with you. If your health concern is an issue we believe chiropractic can help, we will tell you that. However, if we feel that you need a referral to another health care provider we will discuss that as well. After we have agreed on your proposed treatment plan, you will receive your first chiropractic adjustment.

(**The two visit start-up can be condensed into one visit depending on the needs and severity of the individual patient).

During subsequent visits to our office, your time in the office will be much less than your two initial visits. You will be escorted to an adjusting room by your doctor’s assistant and asked how you are progressing with care. Your doctor will then proceed with your chiropractic adjustment. During regular visits, our goals are to continue to progress with your care, striving to help you make healthier choices in your life and to educate you on the purpose and importance of removing spinal SUBLUXATIONS.
